Seemed the most appropriate place to put this...
I picked up the Trigun manga, Vol.1 the other day.
It's really, really good...but very different, as well.
The main difference, as far as I know, is
*MAJOR TRIGUN ANIME SPOILER, HIGHLIGHT TO READ* Wolfwood doesn't die.
*shrug* Vol.1 doesn't go that far, sadly. Still, I'd suggest it to any fan of the anime.

But the manga is humongous! It goes farther into the series more than usual first volumes of other manga am I correct?

Wolfwood only died in the anime. He doesn't die in the manga...or so I've been told.
