For anyone that saw the last two saturday adult swims, I was just curious on what anyone thought about either:
October 30: The marathon showing of the Animatrix
October 23: Read or Die
I'm asking now, mostly because I saw them both, and thought all was awesome....that and I really didn't hear much from friends of mine that I knew watched every saturday night almost religiously.

The Animatrix - Meh. Highly varying quality, here. I hate the one about the runner, for example...and my favorite is prolly the one the Gainax guys did. I forget what it's called. The one with the girl searching for her cat at the start.
Read or Die - Completely. Freaking. Awesome. I was really disappointed to learn they had the movie instead of the TV series. I WANT MORE DAMNIT << >>

I completely agree. Although the runner's story was ok, it was really hard to follow...since it was so different. My personal favorite however was the last one, the group that had convinced a select few machines to join their side. And I was also disappointed about Read or Die being the movie instead of the series, but we do soon get full metal alchemist......so I guess I can live

Read or Die - It was...ok. Not great, but ok.
The Animatrix - I havn't seen it in awhile but I really liked it. The one with th cat was my secon favorite, I liked the one with all the robots and them riding on horses and crap. THAT ONE was cool.

it wasn't that that got me...it was that it never really ended right for me.
1. Who did Bahtoven love? Even if the Japanese didn't know...they could have made it up. I mean you didn't even get to meet bahtoven except for his grand death -.-

good point aya...I would have perferred a slightly more detailed back story since that was their big finale plan to use his song...and the fact that even though I never saw this before...I was able to guess the ending...

Regarding the dubbing on RoD -
Actually, I thought it was one of the better dubs I've heard.
...of course, playing as many games as I do, I've heard some truly god-awful voices in our time...
...if you can't get it right, do it in japanese and subtitle it, k? -_-
